our nominated charity

We pledge to donate 50p from the sale of each pack of six candles to our nominated local group In Jolly Good Company who offer amazing support to people in Dorset, who are living with Alzheimer’s disease as well as their carers.

In Jolly Good Company is a not for profit company, whose patron is Nicholas Ashley-Cooper, 12th Earl of Shaftesbury. Founded by Sarah Rampton of Wimborne St Giles alongside a wonderful team of co-directors, with an aim to play a role in the improvement of people’s physical and mental health. The activities on offer look beyond lost skills and focus on the positivity of what guests are able to do now. This gives a sense of satisfaction and achievement to everyone that attends, whether a carer, volunteer or someone that has been diagnosed with dementia.

The indoor and outdoor sessions encourage everyone to stay physically active and promote better health. With this in mind, during the events held at Wimborne St Giles village hall, there is a simple, delicious and nutritious lunch also included.

This outstanding group want to help people make the most of their lives, feel important, needed and an integral part of a group and when we have been fortunate enough to attend their events here in the village and at the Kingston Lacy Allotments, this is so evident.

In 2020, ‘Jolly Days’ are now available to book in Wimborne Minster and Shaftesbury. If you would like to know more or get involved, please contact Sarah Rampton: Tel: 07884 333117 Email: injollygoodcompany@gmail.com Website: www.injollygoodcompany.com

We feel so strongly that this local organisation provides such an outstanding and valuable need, and we have pledged to offer any support we can.
