To get ahead with your bakes, the butter (or plant based alternative) can be rubbed together with the flour in a large mixing bowl.  Leave this to one side until you are ready to add the milk, eggs and other ingredients.  Our reusable and washable bowl covers are idea for preparing ahead of time.
