We are so excited to receive the news from Taste of the West that following a mystery visit this April, we have been awarded GOLD for our farmhouse bed and breakfast.

Feedback from the judges and Taste of the West panel:

Quality of the breakfast

This was as near faultless a breakfast as the judge and guest have ever eaten.  There was an excellent choice of buffet-style options, including locally sourced fruit and juices, freshly pressed orange juice, homemade (granola) muesli, and yoghurt, together with proprietary cereals if guests preferred.  The delicious breakfast (English) muffins were homemade.  Toast was made with bread from a local wood-fired bakery.  Bacon and sausages were locally sourced and excellent.  The French toast was made with real care, and was light and refreshing, matched with home grown rhubarb and other fruits.

The judge could find nothing to criticise.  This was a breakfast prepared by someone with a real appreciation of the materials being used and the ways to bring the best out of them.
