If you live in Dorset or taking time out for a sociably distant visit, Knowlton Church is located just three country miles from our doorstep at All Hallows.  This historic place of worship is well worth a visit.

On the road between Wimborne Minster towards Cranborne, a ruined Norman church stands at the centre of a Neolithic and Bronze Age Earthworks.  Under the stewardship of English Heritage, Knowlton makes an ideal place to soak in the atmosphere as we celebrate midsummer and the June solstice. If you are an early bird, then welcome in the sun as it rises on Saturday 20 June to begin the longest day of the year.

We’d love to hear your suggestions for the best places to celebrate the solstice….

As lockdown begins to ease and if you are able to safely explore the great outdoors, we also love Stonhenge, Glastonbury Tor and Avebury.  All of which are an easy car journey from the farmhouse.
